Like a Rollingstone, Day 78 – Talking to the birds

Day 78 Tuesday, 26/7/2016, Yeppoon, 22 degrees

Still no spare part. We’re starting to have long conversations with the resident emu every day. Rather than stress we tour the seriously steep streets of Emu Park. O My God Hill in Hydeaway Bay has nothing on these. There are some unique homes with private beaches. Two homes on Tamby Point take the cake though, they both have a beach on either side of the house!

The old emu has certainly been a friendly neighbour

And I guess that explains the name Emu Park

The curlews give us the eveil eye and scream all night

Oh yes, but we’ve learnt over the years that these unexpected enforced stays have been worthwhile.
