Setting up in Traralgon

Day 2 Thursday 6th Feb 2014, Poowong – Traralgon

It was a quiet night, out in the bush. We drive up the ridge through rolling farmlands to Poowong and on to Drouin where we pick up the Princes Highway. At Trafalgar we stop for breakfast and strike it lucky at a cafe called Obsession, the breakfast was creative and the coffee first rate.

The Park Lane Top Tourist Caravan Park in Traralgon is adjacent to Ian Grant Caravans on the Princes Highway, so it will be a good chance for us to ask a few questions about our new slightly used Grant Tourer. We are parked close to other club members so no doubt we’re in for a few laughs. Some have taken their 4WD’s bush bashing around Walhalla. Others have just arrived from six days free camped at Cowarr Weir.

We shop in Traralgon and as the weather is hot, swim in the pool and generally take things easy until happy hour. A cool breeze comes in and makes for a lovely evening under the stars for those enjoying a red and a chat in the BBQ area. We play cards well into the night.
