Yackety Yack, Day 38 – Kicking back

Day 38 Thursday 15/6/2023 Kenilworth, warm 7 – 21

On Facebook, we learn that the amiable publican Jeremy Mason from the Gravo Pub, passed away on the 9th, only a week after we left there.

We have a quiet day strolling and snoozing in the sun. VeeWee cuts her water hose in half as it is unwieldy and she does have a joiner if needed. Elle is repacking storage hatches and getting things where she wants them. Woody makes curried egg sandwiches, while I walk up to the post office to mail 3 sketches off to The Shop at Gravesend and send our condolences. The afternoon is a chance to catch up on some blog posts. Woody hitches up the car because the girls are too quick at packing up in the mornings. Elle reckons they’ve got him bluffed. Motorhomes certainly are easier because they only have to roll up their power cords and hoses.

At happy hour we discuss tomorrow’s route. It’s less than 50kms but I’m betting we won’t all go the same way.

I couldn’t resist snapping this couple looking totally relaxed

Woody has been complaining that he’s desperate for Asian food but with the pantry rapidly diminishing dinner is a potluck chicken curry and chocolate mousse.

Accom: $25.00

A nice shady spot for a picnic, shame it’s beside the dump point!
