Day 31 Monday 14/7/2025 Darlington Beach, sunny 7 – 20
Today is Woody’s birthday and there is a mob of kangaroos lounging around our van. A sight that is not unusual at this park.

The morning is spent walking. I had forgotten how close to the beach we are here, just beyond the golf course, in fact. A few young blokes are surfing, and the waves are similar to those at Wooli, mesmerizing. The sand of the beach is strewn with pretty coloured pebbles and I’m quite sure a few may make it home.

The afternoon is relaxing, just reading and preparing Woody’s favourite birthday dinner, Chinese Lup Yuk and a Special Fried Rice. While he is walking around the park Woody spots a food truck selling Canoli and now we have dessert as well, Holy Canoli.
We are visited by blue faced honeyeaters and brush turkeys today.

Accom: $47.00, Fuel: $45.50

Sketching is a great way to pass the time. Love the kangaroo. Belated Happy birthday to Woody

Your title had me wondering what kangaroo tastes like

It is a superb lean meat as they are fussy feeders. Pair it with a full bodied red on a cold winter’s night.

Like cats, except one will stay on watch while the rest are out for the count.
