Day 42 Sunday 19/7/2026 Mulambin, 14 – 23 warm
We take a drive down to Emu Park for a stroll around the Sunday market under the trees beside the beach. What a perfect location for a market. Just over the hill, the War Memorial Walk follows the cliffs with moving stories from past wars. At the end of the walk the Singing Ship commemorating Cook’s passage through this region, is singing in the breeze.

After lunch we’re off again walking Kemp Beach this time, it’s a glorious afternoon and typical of winter here. A few people are swimming and in the distance yachts are sailing out near the Keppel islands. We meet Woody at Beaches Bar for a ginger beer to cool us off.
Happy hour tonight is in the rustic camp kitchen by the swimming pools. We BBQ some lamb steaks and accompany them with salads and lashings of reminiscing. Oh, we do go back a long, long way.
