Day 63 Sunday 9/8/2026 Mulambin, sunny 15 – 22 feels hotter
After a month here it’s time to pack up and put things back where they belong. It’s sad to leave but it’s time for us to say goodbye to the Capricorn Coast for the last time. The bridesmaid talked us into returning one last time because she wanted to see this place that we had talked so much about, and we’re so glad that she did.
We walk on the beach in the afternoon, and happy hour is spent with the extended Nuthin’ family. Dinner is calamari as we’re cleaning out the fridge.

I was in the park reception office today when a chap asked if it is safe to swim at Mulambin Beach. Without a shred of emotion the receptionist replied,
“There are stingers from November onwards and the crocs aren’t mating at present”.
Note: They’re intending to hold the 2032 Olympic rowing in Rockhampton’s Fitzroy River. I guess they’ll be fine as long as nobody falls in. Last week a croc was spotted on the North Rockhampton golf course, the fourth croc sighting on the river in a month.

Great mud map and yes poor Olympians from overseas, they’ll be wondering what they’re in for. 🙂
