The ground can get as hard as concrete dry weather in Australia.
If you have an outdoor mat that needs pegging down and you’ve reached the end of your tether, try using roofing nails.
They slide into hard ground easier than tent pegs and can be pushed flat.


Well that’s a different approach to nail care.

Great idea. I have also used them building a tree stand for deer hunting, where I needed a long reach nail. I have our old Cadillac trunk mat nailed to the ground in front of my BBQ grill with them.
