The playpus is an elusive creature and I doubt that I’ll ever be swift enough or patient enough to ever get a photo of one. But they are about and sometimes if you’re lucky a few bubbles can be spotted.

I didn’t realise they were so elusive. Is a few bubbles really as good as it gets?

For me I’m afraid, yes. Don’t hold your breath waiting for a photo. Though they do have a wonderful sanctuary for native animals near Melbourne where visitors can stand in a darkened room and watch them through a glass wall.

I hope to spend hours or even days in the near future trying to photo animals in the wild. I have lots of patience!
