We were there once, and went to attend. Then for some reason I got a bee in my bonnet about the town being closed off so as everyone had to pay an entrance fee. I have a thing about paying to go somewhere that I’m likely going to be spending money anyway. We didn’t go in and I’ve regretted it ever since.
Now there’s a blog topic ‘the things we missed’. But I know what you mean sometimes one wonders about the logic as you would have spent money on lunch, drinks, souvenirs etc.
A National Penny Farthing Championship. What not to like?!
I love weird and wonderful events. I was beside myself with delight when I happened upon the National Flounder Tramping Championships in Palnackie, Scotland. It is all about catching fish (flounders) in the mud with your feet (tramping)!
