June 2018, Babinda, Qld
Never having heard of them and out of curiosity we follow the signs to the Babinda Boulders. There is a campground in the rain forest and a crystal-clear swimming hole in a wide bend of the river. A perfect place to spend a hot day. A half kilometre walk through the rain forest reveals the Boulders Gorge.
It’s only afterwards that we realise that we didn’t actually see ‘the Boulders’ that were displayed on all the billboards… ah well next time we’ll walk a little further.
Worth the extra walk to see the boulders.

No boulders? You need to complain to somebody. Looked a lovely place for a swim and a wander though.
