When London Bridge came down

Now called London Arch, the rock formation on Victoria’s Shipwreck Coast near Port Campbell was once known as London Bridge because of its similarity to London’s famous bridge. That is until an afternoon in 1990 when the arch connecting it to the mainland crashed into the sea leaving two surprised tourists stranded and awaiting a helicopter airlift to safety. Now that really would bring adventure tourism to a new level.

  1. You forgot to mention that the bloke was there with his girlfriend that got stranded when the bridge fell, which pleased his wife when she watched the evening news with views from the helicopter of both of them stranded on top of the rock.
