Go West, Day 75 – Pardoo Station

Day 75

Wednesday 20th May 2015, clear light breeze

Pardoo Station

Pardoo homestead. See how the verandah walls lift up to let the breeze in

Those cows are still angry. When we wake I say to Woody “Smell that air isn’t it great?” “Smells like cow shit to me” he says with a grin.

The Ollies pack up and head further up the road. We want to soak up the atmosphere of Pardoo a little longer, but really I think we’re slowing down. We follow the fishermen down the track to Pardoo Creek but it means little to us non fisherfolk so we return and put our feet up again. Although the park is quite busy it is exceptionally quiet except of course for the cattle.

They may look like junk to us city folk but they still work and there are dozens of them
