Banned on the Run, Day 28 – Alstonville

Day 28 Wednesday 8/7/20 Alstonville, steady soaking rain 14

Gee, it’s nice to have a lie in. It’s a cool morning and it quickly turns to persistent drizzling rain.

We do a little cleaning and then settle down to a bit of reading or should I say a reading marathon.

We firm our plans for entering Queensland. Rather than facing long queues on the A1 (Pacific) Highway where being a metropolitan area we’ve heard that it currently takes 4 hours, we’ve decided to travel west to Tenterfield and the New England Highway.

The Melbourne metropolitan area has gone back into lockdown. The Northern Territory has banned all Victorians. The Victoria / South Australia border has closed.

Accom: $25.00

Travelling Kms: 0

Orchards at Alstonville, NSW (I’m unsure of the crop, gee I wish they’d put up signs)

  1. It would be easy to feel the whole country was conspiring against you but we all know it’s fear of the virus driving everything. Soak up the sun’s warmth. 🙂

  2. I know we’ve often thought that some of our pollies are turkeys but in this they’ve really stepped up. I can’t see any of them wanting to run another term, I’m sure they’d just want a Bex and a good lie down,
