A Marlo Muster, the return leg

Day 9 Monday 21/2/22 Marlo to Heyfield, cool cloudy

With hugs and farewells and see ya next times, we hit the road. We pull up at Bruthen Bakery for more sustenance and then drive through to the Heyfield RV Stop as those who aren’t in a hurry to get home want to see what we’ve been raving about.

We’re quite surprised at the number of campers here and even the footy ground section has been opened to camping. Of course, we swell the numbers by another 6 vans. We soon learn that there’s been a timber festival in town. What a shame we missed it, wood chopping competitions are thrilling.

We spend the afternoon chatting in the sun while Toothless regales everyone with his bird misadventure stories. “Vermin, bloody vermin!” he shouts, is it any wonder birds give him a hard time.

We have a BBQ dinner with what’s left in the fridge.
