Border Region, NSW & Vic
Buronga, NSW but really part of Mildura, this Discovery Parks Caravan Park is on a bend of the Murray River opposite the Mildura wharf. There are fine views of the city and parklands and the toots of the paddle steamer whistles.

Barham Caravan & Tourist Park lies on the NSW bank of the Murray on a sweeping bend of the river and barely a block from the heart of town. With the local club next door and several pubs there’s always somewhere to grab a meal. The town has pleasant gardens and a river walk. A short walk across the historic lift bridge is the Victorian town of Koondrook with another pub, the historic Arbuthnot’s sawmill and walks through the bushland tracks of Gunbower Island.

Euston, NSW is a border town with Robinvale. Robinvale has shops and Euston has The Club. And like any good NSW border club it is large and has sporting and leisure facilities. Better still they have several hectares of grassy lawn set aside for RV’ers. With the best facilities we ‘ve ever found. Toilets, showers, laundry, indoor and outdoor camp kitchens, fire pit and a vegetable garden.

Love Mildura and love the Murray. But doesn’t every caravanner? 😁

Ha, we have a mate who is a train nerd and worked at Euston Station in his youth. He manages to slip it into every conversation.

Love Buronga and glad they are back in business after the flooding. We will be heading that way sometime mid year.

And check out Euston while you’re in the area. It is quite ‘the model’ freedom camps could aspire to.
