A Cool Coast – Safe at Last

Day 27 Thursday 10/7/2025 Wooli, windy 10 – 20

This morning, we get the ‘All OK’ message from the community, Darcy the lost surfer has been found safe and well. The local rescue crew followed the likely course of the current and found him waiting on North Solitary Island this morning. By the time we return from another trip to Jaycar Electronics at Grafton for a fridge lead, there’s a TV crew outside the café and Darcy is in Grafton Hospital being checked over.

It’s a windy afternoon and the park is starting to fill with families again, tots on bikes, and dangerously wobbly Mum’s on electric scooters.

With our TV still a bit sensitive I try booking a repairer for when we are in the Coffs Harbour area. Not surprisingly they’re all booked out, on holiday or won’t touch caravan TV’s. We’ll just have to take potluck until we get home.

We cook lamb chops, chips and koftas on the camp kitchen BBQ to have with corn and a yoghurt sauce. That recipe is a keeper.
