Day 47 Friday 24/7/2026 Mulambin, warm sunny 14 – 23
Gosh, it’s a delightful drive into Rockhampton. It’s a warm sunny morning, the paddocks are golden and the hills in the distance, blue. There’s something to be said for getting up early. We’re returning the Bridesmaid to the airport, and we take her on a quick few laps around Rocky to get a taste for the town, I don’t think she shares my passion for Queensland architecture though.
Before we leave town we buy a new laundry basket as the old one has collapsed from overwork.
Back at camp it’s time for walks and there are land sailors zipping about on the beach. Happy hour is at our van and dinner is a fridge clean out.
