To my 100 Followers …A very big THANK YOU

When I started this blog back in October last year I never would have dreamt that I’d be writing this post. In my University of the Third Age (U3A) creative writing class my teacher had shouted “will you get a damned publisher!” Actually I think that the language was a little stronger than that. Anyway I thought oh dear I better do something about this and decided to make the jump into public blogging just to see if anyone really did want to read my musings.

Now here we are 158 posts later, I started with a daily post challenge and kept it up…except for giving myself a day off at Christmas. Which was harder than you may think as on more than one occasion we were in the bush and out of phone range. It was a case of “Oh shit! The blog, where are the car keys? I’ll be back soon.” Yes the WordPress ipad app came up trumps every time. I really enjoyed participating in the Blogging 101 course and can’t wait to partake in the next WordPress course.

But the biggest surprise of all is YOU the blogging community. I have found some amazing blog sites and learnt so much about the countries that you all live in. I feel that I know many of you and I thank you all for sharing your thoughts, your lives and your loves.

  1. Well done! I started in November and have made some lovely blogging friends. I enjoy your posts and love your photos. My children have been to Oz and I have friends there, so I feel I have a connection. I love your photos. 👏🏻

      1. That is so cool, thank you. When I did the family history I found local people really helpful, even from this distance, the Friends of Boroondarra took photos of one and a researcher of the Cheltenham pioneers found the other grave in the non-conformist section but sadly there is no headstone.

  2. Congratulations – a big milestone reached. I love U3A and have been involved for about five years now. I think it’s a fantastic organisation – I’m teaching Digital Photography for Beginners for the second year now. Very rewarding 😊
