Kinchega Woolshed

The Kinchega Woolshed is in the Kinchega National Park on the Darling River just south of Menindee in NSW. The woolshed was built in 1875 and in its heyday wool was loaded onto barges and sent down the Murray Darling river system to market. This is hot dry country in the summer months and the reportedly six million sheep that were shorn here would have been glad to strip off their winter woolies.
