Day 3, Thursday March 27th 2014 Nug Nug, Vic
It rained all night, and we wake to a magnificent but soggy emerald green world. We have morning tea under the BBQ shelter and welcome P and C who arrive still jet-lagged from their flight down from Bali only 24 hours earlier. Talk about looking like rabbits caught in the headlights!

A drive into town is needed for some shopping, meat, groceries, and a couple of release bars for our load levellers from the local engineering works. We left ours at home and borrowed T’s. We all think that a spare would be handy as they are easy to lose.
Back at camp, a new larger fire has been built and T our fire warden is hovering about like a mother hen. The sun has finally broken through the clouds, and now everyone is complaining about the heat. We cook a most delicious lamb casserole in the bambino and have a perfect happy hour under the stars.

A good fire pic
