Byfield National Park

Byfield National Park is about a half hour drive north of Yeppoon. A huge chunk of natural bushland it is home to the palm like Byfield Fern (Bowenia serrulata). Byfield is one of those lesser-known National Parks and it has some splendid basic campgrounds and cool waterways.

The Byfield General Store services the small town of Byfield that borders the park. It is a hidden treasure that serves great casual lunches on a palm shaded open air deck for tired explorers.
