Venus Bay

Venus Bay, SA is all blue and white. A blue bay under a bright blue sky and stark white limestone upon which the holiday houses are built. The fishing must be good as there are dozens of boat trailers on the beach and a flock of pelicans dozing on the sand waiting for their return. The beach is littered with seriously long fish bones and crab carcasses. Three large prawn trawlers are tied up at the wharf, looking down the water beneath them is deep green and crystal clear. The caravan park could only be loved by fishermen as the sites are tight and of course on hard white limestone. Sadly we don’t fish. The ocean cliffs typical of the Great Australian Bight are steep and spectacular.
