Winter 2018, Queensland
On an afternoon walk on the beach I meet a woman with a large bag of rubbish which inspires me because the beach looks clean. In minutes I have found three cans and a styrofoam foam tray. I huff and puff trying to remove a chunk of fibreglass from the sand before realising that it may have been the whole boat. In future I’ll carry a knife to cut nets and rope from driftwood but I’m not going to dig up boats.

Isn’t it wonderful to meet people who care about the environment. Inspiring.

Fabulous, but I wish I could have dug that boat out. It’s probably been washed over to South America with the recent floods.

Well done her, and well done you! We must all keep it up.

Excellent, swirling textures around that palm trunk. If only more people realized that every little bit they pick up makes an enormous difference overall. Great job!

That palm has certainly been washed clean by the sea.

Good job. We saw something sticking up through the sand at Cape Keraudren one day and realised it was the tip of a windscreen. The remainder of the car was buried beneath.
